Gear Built for the Outdoors
We started Rim & Stone with a simple frustration: most outdoor gear is either overpriced for what it actually delivers, or cheap in a way that shows the first time you really use it. There wasn't much in between — gear that's honestly built, fairly priced, and made for people who actually go outside, not just people who like the way outdoor gear looks in a photo.
So that's what we set out to build.
Why We Do This
Every piece of gear we carry is chosen with one question in mind: would this hold up on a real trip? Not a studio photoshoot. Not a weekend where nothing goes wrong. A real trip — where the weather turns, the trail gets rough, and your gear either keeps up with you or it doesn't.
We're not trying to be the biggest outdoor brand out there. We're trying to be the one you actually trust when you're miles from anywhere else — whether that's a weekend hike, a multi-day backcountry trip, or just a night in the backyard with a hammock and no plans at all.
What We Believe
Gear should work as hard as you do. No exceptions, no "good enough for the price" excuses.
Honesty matters more than hype. We'd rather tell you exactly what a product does well — and where it has limits — than oversell you on something that won't hold up to what you actually need it for.
Support shouldn't disappear after checkout. If something's wrong, you should be able to reach a real person and get a real answer — not a chatbot loop that goes nowhere.
Where We're Headed
We're still early — a small, independently run store built by people who care more about getting this right than getting it big fast. Every product we add, every policy we write, every email you get from us is built around the same idea: treat people the way we'd want to be treated if we were the ones spending our money on gear for our next trip.
That won't change as we grow. If anything, it's the whole reason we're doing this in the first place.
